- No, not by itself. PlayHT is a TTS engine — it returns audio you stream into your own application. To place a call you would bring your own Twilio (or SIP), bring your own STT, bring your own LLM, and orchestrate them yourself. Vanie AI ships that whole stack as one product.
- Why is Vanie AI built for live conversations?
- Vanie AI runs the conversation natively on Gemini Live — realtime speech-to-speech, with no separate STT→LLM→TTS hops to stitch and tune. PlayHT only owns the TTS leg; the other components are on you to assemble.
- How do the voices compare?
